Lost placemarks

Can't find your placemark on the site even though you submitted it? There are numerous reasons for that, one is that you forgot to send it to info@gecplaces.com. These are the suggestions in the database that I can't seem to find any placemarks for. If you made the suggestion, please resend it and I will insert it to the database!

If you still can't find your placemark, check the 50 most recent and see if find it there.

Another reason could be that the placemark already exist in the database (this is fairly common), search for it here. If this placemark has not been accredited to anyone, you will probably receive the credit for it. Your new description will however not be used.

If all of these attempts have failed. It could either have gone lost somewhere (then, please resubmit it again), or it was just not of enough public interest to be put on this site (not very common).

Generally, and if I lack time, I tend to upload the cooler placemarks first. Thus, cooler placemarks will go faster from suggestion to upload.
